Nose correction is a very individualised procedure designed to improve the appearance or proportion of the nose in close relation to your specific facial structure.
You will be required to stay in Poland for five nights.
OVERVIEW OF THE PROCEDURE
While the shape of your nose is initially the result of heredity, its appearance may have been altered by an injury or as a result of prior surgery. Medically known as rhinoplasty, surgery of the nose improves the appearance and proportion of your nose, to enhance facial harmony and self confidence. Nose surgery can also correct impaired breathing caused by some form of structural abnormality in the nose.
Average nose size:
Medical charts show that for a man, the normal nose length is 5.8cm and should protrude no more than 2.6cm. For a woman, the average length is 5.1cm with 2.2cm protruding.
What can surgery of the nose accomplish?
Rhinoplasty can change:
The size of your nose in relation to your other facial structures
Nose width - specifically at the nasal bridge
The profile of your nose, to correct visible humps or depressions of the bridge
The nasal tip, should it be too large or bulbous or too droopy or upturned
Nostrils which are too large, wide or upturned
Any nasal asymmetry and misalignment
Is it right for me?
Nose surgery is a very personal procedure and should be undertaken after realistic consideration. Surgery of the nose is a good option for you if:
You are 13 years of age or older and facial growth is complete
You are physically and mentally healthy
Surgery to reshape the nose is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, alter the shape of the bridge or the tip, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between nose and upper lip. It can correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems. Rhinoplasty can enhance your appearance and as a result, your self-confidence.
Sometimes cosmetic nasal surgery may involve surgery on just the soft part of the nose (cartilaginous tissue). In some cases more extensive correction is required (involving both cartilage and bone). Many procedures allow incisions to be located inside the nostrils - eliminating the risk of any visible post operative scars. There are occasions when the correction of certain constructs requires incisions of the columnella, or at the margin between the nostril wing and the cheek. Depending on the extent of the surgery, it may be performed under local or general anaesthesia.
To get an idea of what your nose would look like post surgery there is a 'magic lift tool' which is free. However this only quickly shows what you face would look like with a thinner nose from the front. Another simulation tool is available on line is 'facetouchup.com' you do have to pay a small fee to this company, but we have found that the simulations are quite good, particularly when patients are unhappy with their side profiles. Please remember these tools are only a guide and no cosmetic surgeon should state exactly what a nose will look like post surgery. But they might help you making this important decision and form a better idea of what you would like to achieve.
Procedure Time
The surgery is typically completed within two hours, depending on the complexity of the procedure.
Post Operative Care Time
After surgery the patient remains in the recovery room for about an hour, leaving the hospital on the same day. The nose is covered with a stiff dressing to immobilise the bone. The dressing remains on the nose for about a week. Gauze "packing" of the nostrils is usually not required.

Recovery Time
For the first 24-48 hours patients are recommended to rest and remain in a sitting or lying position as far as possible, with head up. Cold compresses should be applied to the base of the nose and eyes to reduce post operative swelling and bruising, which reduces dramatically over the first few days. Some skin bruising around the eyes may remain visible for about two weeks, depending on the individual's predisposition. Normal activities are possible within 1-2 weeks.
A 5 night stay in Poland is required.
