Follicular unit extraction
Dr Saifi uses a state of the art procedure which harvests individual grafts of hair for transplant surgery. Micro hair transplantation is an advanced and highly skilled procedure. Hair Transplantation - Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE method):
Prior to treatment Dr Saifi will discuss options with you on the telephone and will then meet with you in person to carry out a full consultation in order to assess your suitability for this treatment.
A customized plan designed according to your individual requirements and specific expectations will then be drawn up.
The follicular unit (hair) to be removed is selected from the back and sides of your head by our surgeon, Dr Saifi and is carefully grasped and extracted in readiness for transplantation.
The selected follicles are dissected under microscope and meticulously transplanted (single hair, by single hair) to the balding areas, to give a natural look.
This incredibly precise procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and takes between 3 and 4 hours. There is no scarring, no stitches or bandages meaning a faster healing time and minimal disruption to your lifestyle. Multiple sessions can be undertaken in close proximity to each other if desired.
