Blepharoplasty (Eye Bags)

OVERVIEW OF THE PROCEDURE

The skin around the eyes is especially thin, and becomes even thinner and looser as we age. As you get older, it is common to develop bags under your eyes and heavy, hooded-eyelids that make you look tired and jaded.

Eyelid surgery is used to remove over-hanging upper-eye skin or under-eye bags. It also corrects excessive fine lines around the eyes, aswell as any excess fat and muscle. Most choose to have both upper and lower eye procedures carried out at the same time. These procedures give the eyes a more youthful and alert appearance. The procedures are usually carried out under local anaesthesia, although further sedation can be offered if requested.

Incisions are made carefully within natural skin creases. Loose skin and fatty tissue is removed to leave a smoother eyelid and under eye area.

 Recovery Time
It typically takes 10 days for any bruising to settle. Any scars as a result of upper blepharoplasty are hidden in the natural crease of your eye. A lower blepharoplasty leaves pale pink scars which are hidden by the lashes and fade in time.

Your length of stay in Poland is dependant on whether you choose to have your stitches removed at home or in Poland as follows:
2 nights stay if removal at home;
6 nights stay if they are removed by our surgeon in Poland.
